i'm saving for a new laptop (this one is old and crappy). after researching and talking to a few people. I have concluded that the white 13 in. Macbook with 1 GB memory and 120 GB RAM (540 rpm), pre-programmed with iLife, Leapord OS X, if it's possible Windows XP (or Vista, but I prefer XP), and Final Cut Express HD. With Applecare Protection Plan for $1598 from the mac website is the one I want. I will be using this computer for school (papers, research, etc. it will be the one i use through the rest of high school and all college years), surfing the internet (myspace, e-mail, etc), making movies and music videos (a fav. passtime of mine, that's what Final Cut is for), the occasional game (i'm not a huge gamer), music (i have tons and tons. includes storing music, mixing it, etc.), and storing pictures. my dad keeps telling me that I could do all that on a Dell/HP and they were about $800 - $1000 cheaper (which sounds good considering I've saved $330, and make about $30 a week).
Why should I get a Mac instead of a Dell/HP?panda
Definitely get a Mac!
I could ramble on and on, and I probably will.... Mac haters, don't knock it till you've tried it.... Fact is, most people who say "don't do it! they don't have many programs for them! they're a rip off!" it's because they're sheep and don't know better. Hate to call names, but I just call it like I see it... and I have seen the light and the err in my ways.
