Someone or something has redirected my host. They are downloading things from my computer. What's a good program to stop this from happening? I also have a trojan .I have norton's online protection it's not working very good if this is happening. please something free. thank you.

i recently got something called SUPER anti spy ware. its an excellent program. my computer hardly worked but after i got that it ran perfectly. its very uncomplicated and doesn't have those gay pop ups whenever you start your computer or download something like mcafferee. just google it and you should see a link for a free download.

AVG antivirus is pretty good. It updates itself and is free!
My personal favorites are AVG Free, Spybot Search %26 Destroy, and Comodo Firewall.

AVG takes care of viruses and trojans, Spybot takes care of spyware, and Comodo acts as a very good firewall.
If you have a trojan, theres no point in removing spyware only. The trojan will put it back on. You could use AVG to rid your computer of the stupid thing then use "xoft spy" or "ad-aware". Many people will tell you to use spyware doctor - dont bother, it wont remove the stuff unless youve paid the registration fee. Also, Windows Defender is sometimes brilliant but it doesnt seem to detect everything all the time.

If youre any good at computers you can remove it manually.

Get Avast..its awesome and its free it has everything you need. Also get Adaware from lavasoft. It is a spy ware removal program.
