I have recently been experiencing "random" shutdowns on my desktop computer. They come in either of my two installed operating systems: Windows Vista Ultimate, or Windows XP Professional (both 32 bit). When I check the event viewer, I get a error claiming that printer's driver's were unable to be loaded (which I know is crap because they have worked for the past year). I have reinstalled all printer drivers, but my computer still randomly restarts. I then opened up my case, and found that one of my two PSU fans is not operating. It claims to only run when my computer is above 40c, but my case is at about 42c. My computer does not restart, however, when I open my case door. My P4 was overclocked to 3.72 (25c idle), but after the restarts started, I brought it back down to 3.2 (17c idle), and still having restarts. Is the problem my PSU, or drivers/software? My PSU is a Master Power (Compusa brand) 520 WATT ATX power supply. It does claim to include Over-tempature protection. Please help!

The chkdsk message is warning you that your hard drive is failing. Back up as much as you can, and have it professionally tested to be sure.
