Anti virus things?

ok i just got a new laptop and it was running fine for the whole week i had hit but just to about over 100 or so viruses and stuff hit it nearly at the same time and now viru protection stuff keeps popping up and nun of it works other then telling me how many viruses i have

so i need a really good free virus protection thing that prevents viruses and also kills the ones that are infecting my computer and i need it quick so please answer and link the place that lets me download it

for antivirus.....use avast antivirus...it has on access protection which doesn't even allow the virus to enter the system....suppose you are downloading something and say it is a virus or it contains a virus....then avast would detect it and the connection would be terminated.......for home use...registration is free with updates!!!

use ad-aware 2007.....it is also free for home use an dis very efficient in removing ad wares!!!

use mozilla firefox only and do not use internet explorer as mozilla firefox is very much secure!!!
