I have a gateway 600yg2 with a mobility radeon 9000 video card. I just hooked up my computer to my sharp lcd hdtv using the av out on my computer. Everything seems to show up on my tv; i.e. desktop, web browser, and online videos. But the video files from my hard drive won't show up.I'm talking about files I made from my minidv camera so it can't be a copyright protection thing. I usually use the vlc media player but there is no picture on my tv. I've also tried windows media player, but the same thing happened. The frame around the video shows up, and I can see the video on my computer screen, but on my tv the box remains black.. Can anyone explain what is happening and advise me as to how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
Why won't my video files (avi, m-peg, or any really) playback on my tv?anti virus protection
Frame rate and Format output use AVS VIdeo Converter your PC is using a frame and resolution with in the avi and mpeg that a Display your TV cant handle much as if you try to play a 32 bit video game on a 16 bit video system Each type of software or media type has a default display rate your desktop or PC can handle 95 % of Display rates where as your TV is limited to it output range Say you put a DVD from Europe into your PC it works but put it in TV or DVD player Designed for North America you got a problem
