Cant get pen drive to work?

Can any kind newsreader please help me with my pen drive. When.I put the pen in the drive it asks me

to insert a disc into drive G.

It appears to be reading it as a disc drive. When I try to format it again, it asks me to insert a disc into drive G.

It used to work but has gone from bad to worse. I think I have made it worse by trying to fix it

I am running windows xp so no drivers are required .I bought it on ebay a few months ago

And don鈥檛 even remember if I got a warranty with it.

I contacted the seller explaining what was wrong a couple of times but he never even answered my e-mail.

Also when I right click on the drive, then click on open again, it asks me to insert a disc into drive G.

I also get the option to open it as a portable media device. The folder does open.

Inside is an icon of a walkman with ear phones.

When I try to drag anything into the folder it has a small black circle with a black line going across it.

It doesn鈥檛 allow me to do it. I鈥檇 be grateful is someone can offer some advice.

I don鈥檛 even know what make it is but it does have micro vault milestone goods stamped on it

Have also tried it in other computers with no luck.. Also it doesn鈥檛 have a data protection switch
