i asked earlier about program protection for my pc, i have successfully installed 2 of the 3 programs suggested to me, i am having trouble with the 3rd being 'windows defender, program starts to run then comes up as ; computer has invalid Volume License Product Key (VLK) to obtain a valid key contact computer manufacturer or company from where pc was purchased.
Well the pc was a gift, so i'm not sure what to do about this??
What does it all mean?! Please help!!!!!

What you need to do are:
1.Get a Free antivirus (AVG Free Edition)
2 Get two spyware, one paid (Spyware Doctor) one free (Spybot Search and Destroy) (http://ww.spyware-faq.com)
3. Get a free software firewal (ZoneAlarm, http://www.zonealarm.com)
4. Avoid those freeware, such as Kazaa (this is bundled with the spyware. It is written in the license agreement)
5. Dont open attachment from someone you dont trust.
6. update virus/spyware definition file frequently
7. scan your computer frequently
