Norton Update Problems?

I have norton 2007 and my subscription is good for a couple years and yesterday when I turned the computer on there was the little yellow norton symbol in the icon tray and it has a red exclamation point so I know I have to update something so I click it and a window pops up saying There Is A Protection Update Problem and a Spyware Definitions Problem and that I should fix. So both items are checked and I click next and it brings up LiveUpdate and it searches for whatever updates I need and it downloads 18 different updates and then it says liveupdate is complete and that all norton products installed are currently up to date and I hit close and then go about my business and the red exclamation stays and the main norton screen says the same thing that those two things need updated still. So I've done it again and then rebooted and there was no difference so I updated again and shut down and this is my third time updating and no difference. Does anyone know what the issue is?

You need to post your problem on a Norton site. Here is one link to one of their forums.

Check your computers date-time. Also, disable other (non-symantec or Microsoft) security software, as it might cause such problems. It is not recommended to use more than one Anti virus solution at the same time.

Best is to call Norton support. There might be some license/computer problems that can easily solved by their support.
