Virus delete?

my virus protection just informed me that a file was infected with a virus and could not be disinfected so was deleted. would this file have been something importent to the computers running or just a bit of hidden text? please help. (it was something like D:system/restore/4577652) that was deleted.

Virus delete?antivirus software

It probably was just a system restore backup file, so it shouldn't stop your Computer working, but do a system restore now to make sure you have a backup. Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

Virus delete?computer virus

it wont be anything important if it has been identified as a virus.
You will not know for a long while if it was important or not that file that was deleted because it was infected. Thats's because it may be a long while before you need that file to run a certain program or use it. Be careful, just because your PC seems ok now that may not be the case sometime later on!!

Go to your System Restore and set a defentite restore day that is prior to when this file deletion took place and hold that date. That so in case you have problems you can restore to that earlier date.
If it was important they would'nt have deleted it. It would have been put it in the 'Virus Vault'/'Quarantine' where it can't do any harm. The virus often uses only a part of a file which is essential for the running of the computer. It is these, which the anti virus cannot delete which are put into quarantine.
no its likely to be a useless file
if it was deleted by the virus software than you dont need to worry about it being it a system file...because if it was your virus application would not have been able to delete it. so dont worry about it. you are fine...have fun!!!!
dont be nervous bec if it is a virus dont worry
