Hello, I have a small business and need to invest in a good, solid laptop...I need Internet Explorer 6 (for specific program), hopefully decent virus protection, cd/dvd burner, wireless modem...etc. Not something super powerful but not some child's computer either...I need to be able to travel with this computer and dial into the office. I started pricing Dell's recently and once I added on extras it increased the price SEVERAL hundred dollars!!!
So, I'm asking if there's a good laptop that has a lot of basics included, without having to add all the extras. Thanks for your answers!!! =D
HELP with choosing a laptop??antivirus programs
i think the cheapest laptops you can get are hp from hp.com, esp when they have their sale. it is a good idea to constantly surf the internet for sale items at hp.com; or deals during the sale season. i think hp's laptops are good for business, which you don't really need much. refurbished laptops are also a good deal; then there are the second hands.

AMD and Intel are both good. they use a different standard of measuring how fast the processor goes. I have a 2.2 AMD and its = to a 3.0 Intel. HPs and Dell both make ok business computers.
