Do you agree with this statement?

Have you ever looked at the concept of mapping within the criminal justice system? They intend to map not only offenders but the children of offenders. I have a theory that the purpose of inter-agency working, ID cards, DNA testing etc will one day lead to a society that is totally controlled and supervised through a computer controlled bureaucratic government subsidised organisation. They've sold everything else! Schools already use a system of fingerprinting and ID cards so that our children can have their dinner. I have no doubt that the worst thing about this will be the fact that the government will charge us for the privilege of total monitoring whilst employing a company incapable of fulfilling the role. I'd be interested in hearing of any company that has been successful in fulfilling this role. I'm not sure why our government wrote the 1998 Data protection act or why they have ever entered in to conversation regarding the human rights of individuals.

To some extent, similar thoughts have crossed my mind. My wife has given birth to 3 children in the last 2 years, all of which were DNA "tested" (by law) within 48 hours of birth for a handful of VERY obscure diseases they have no cures for. It occurred to me, if they store this info, not only will their DNA be on file for future criminal IDs against them, any crime THEIR children, siblings, parents, grandparents commit could be detected as well!!
