AVG and Norton Anti Spyware?

Ok. .I have AVG free edition on my computer. . also yahoo have Norton Virus Scan via the toolbar. Not knowing too much about technicalities and the running of suh program I am some what confused! Can these two programes work together or do I need to uninstall one? If so which one! Does the Norton cover enough protection for virus etc or is it purely anti spyware?? Please help me! Im female!! (and blonde. . but not that blonde!)

Avg is a fine antivirus, If I were you, (and thats a stretch) I would eliminate yahoo for google, its more useful and less intrusive. Norton has a large system overhead and running the two together only will slow down your pc. Thats all.

Try microsoft's antivirus, its simple and good.
okay blondie! the answer is yes you can have both. norton-you can set your options to scan for viruses and keep it active and it will tell you if something or someone is trying to put a worm in your computer or if you pick up viruses, then it will either quarantine it or prompt you to do so. if you have avg also; it seems that you can't set it to scan, but you can scan manually and quarantine the problems. you can combine spysweeper and spybot also with the other for a more complete protection. you can set spysweeper to scan. but, it seems to miss certain things. the spybot you have to scan yourself and it seems to pick up traces that the spysweeper will miss. so, in essence it is a good idea to have all four. spysweeper and norton will cost you, and the other 2 you can download for free. hope this helps!

Use AVG. It automatically updates to keep you ahead of all the new viruses and is better at finding them. Norton's virus library is slow to update and could put your computer at risk.

ok so i bought the kit, i formatted the micro sd card. but when i try to save files in that foler or copy them to that folder the message appears and says "Remove the write-protection or use another disc." So wut do i do?!?! I mean i can't use another disc... i tried. oh yea and i'm copying this from my itunes library. i dunno if tht makes a diff.

I have Norton Antivirus Protection software installed. But I keep getting reminders that there are updates available from Java. I don't know what Java is...if it's like Spyware and if you don't want it? Could someone with more computer knowledge help me out? Thanks!

I used spybot and superantispyware and that got rid of my problem.

You need to go to the start menu鈥?. "my computer" add/remove hardware and see if any programs have been added that you are not aware of.

On your browser Go to tools...... internet option...... delete cookies 鈥︹€?delete files and all offline content

my security software has found a virus (dialer generic)and wont remove it . can i find the file myself and delete it ,and how do i do this .i do have asquared dialer protection but it doesnt seem to find the problem ori may be doing somthing wrong as i am a novice.whatis the risk of it dialing premium numbers from my computer.maybe someone can sugest a free easy to use removal tool. thank you in advance

Removal of the generic dialer is extremely easy.... if you have a proper security suite from a reliable vendor then you would simply update the virus definitions, close out of your modem if it's on, and run a complete system scan. Done.

The danger in dialing premium numbers is that you will be charged a lot of money on your phone bill for dialing them..

they are also going to pornogrpahy sites.

Internet explorer Problem!?

As it is my internet explorer is messed up, you cant click the actual icon you have to find a link on the computer and click it. Anyways, when i do that and im able to go on the internet for about 30 seconds, then it freezes. I hit Crl Alt delete and it says Internet explorer and Explore Not responding and im forced to restart. Oh, We used to have protection on our comoputer now we don't. Could this be a virus?? I think its a virus/Trojan, you have to do the following:

1- update your Anti-virus software.

2- scan your computer.

3- install the Ad-ware program to remove any Trojans that may in your computer.

4- I recommend to do another scan but in safe mode for both software (Anti-virus and Trojan removal).

if these not work then go for another browser software like Mazola.

well im not sure...

you could always try to recover your system with your recovery disk..

have the cd in before you start the computer and when you start it F12/ESC then look for a CD-ROM option so and so..

im not sure..im just 14 but you cud always try.. my mom had a problem with her computer so the recovery disk saved my *** twice
